So about a month after my last horrific beating I took on the river at nordy's tournament I was back for more punishment. I took one bad beat early when I had a set cracked by a guy calling down with a 6 high flush draw and catching, but I was able to recover and get back over starting stack by the 1st break. Once again I was in the Big blind and no one raised so I was happy to see a free flop with my 7-9 offsuit. The flop came 8-T-2, giving me an open ended straight draw. I was first to act so I put a pot sized bet of 600 out. A few folds then a min re-raise to 1,200. I know I am probably behind but there is now about 2,400 in the pot so at 4:1 I figure I will look at on more card. Bingo, Jack comes on the turn giving me the straigt, and the board is a rainbow so no flush possibilities out there. I check and the only other guy in the hand bets 2,300 I had 2,275 left and put it in there. He proudly flips over JT for two pair and I show my straight, and of course, any time I am a 90%+ favorite you know whats coming, yep he hit the boat on the river, just like how it happened against my straight in the blind I had at the Chips tournament. It never ends.
